Sue Lyle, of Johnson City, died Saturday, May 14, 2005 at the Appalachian Christian Village. She was a native and lifelong resident of Johnson City, daughter of the late J. Raymond and Sue Thomas Lyle. Ms. Lyle was a retired interior decorator and former owner of The Drapery Shop. She was a member of the Watauga Avenue Presbyterian Church, the Junior Monday Club, the Monday Club Auxilary, a Professional member of the National Society of Interior Designers, a member of the Dogwood Garden Club and had served as president several times, a 25 year member of the Little Theatre Players and also a member of the Southwest Neighborhood Organization. Survivors include a sister, Ruth Schild, Dayton, TN, several nieces and nephews, several great nieces and nephews and several great great nieces and nephews. A graveside service is scheduled for Tuesday, May 17, 2005 in the Monte Vista Memorial Park at 2:00 p.m. under the direction of Rev. George Rolling. The family will receive friends from 12:30 p.m. until 1:30 p.m. at the Morris-Baker Funeral Home. The family and friends will then go in procession to the cemetery. Pallbearers will be selected from family and friends.
