Verna E. Cook

Verna Cook, 90, Johnson City, went to be with the Lord on Monday, August 19, 2019.
She was born in Eaton, OH on August 11, 1929.
She was a longtime member of Snow Memorial Baptist Church.
Verna was preceded in death by: her husband, Ralph Cook; one son, Larry Cook; mother, Nancy Burton; son-in-law, Billy Irvin; and one brother, Billy Warren.
Survivors include: two daughters, Judy Irvin and Linda Allen; grandsons, Chris Irvin and Matt Irvin; longtime, precious friend, Frances Hodge; dear friends, Craig and Shirley Whited; and several nieces and nephews.
The family wishes to extend a special thanks to Home Health nurse Amy Maine and hospice nurse Judy Hensley, as well as all other caregivers who helped with her care.
A committal service will be held at 1 PM Thursday, August 22, 2019, at Roselawn Memory Gardens, with Mr. Bobby Meadows officiating. Family and friends are asked to meet at the cemetery by 12:50 PM.
