Vickie Jean Harwood

Mrs. Vickie Jean McKinney Harwood, 56, 279 Cedar Grove Road, Johnson City, passed away Thursday July 1, 2010 in the Johnson City Medical Center. Mrs. Harwood was a native of Elizabethton and had lived most of her life in Johnson City. She was the daughter of the late Kermit W. and Frances Fox McKinney. In addition to her parents one brother, Lester McKinney; one niece, Charity Harwood; grandparents also preceded her in death. Mrs. Harwood was an office manager for United Oil Company. She was a member of the Cedar Grove Baptist Church. Survivors include: her husband of thirty-seven years, Jerry Harwood of the home; one daughter, Jennifer Harwood Snodgrass and her husband Jon of Elizabethton; one sister, Judy McKinney Harwood and her husband Gary of Johnson City; two grandchildren, Lauren and Lainey Snodgrass of Elizabethton; several nieces and nephews; her Dog, Daisi. The funeral service for Mrs. Vickie Jean McKinney Harwood will be conducted at 8 PM Monday July 5, 2010 in the Morris-Baker South Chapel. Pastor Bill McDaniel will officiate. The graveside committal service will be conducted at 10 AM Tuesday in the Washington County Memory Gardens. Active pallbearers will be Michael Harwood, Daniel Harwood, Gary Harwood, Rocky Harwood, Steve Holtsclaw, and Jon Snodgrass. Minister, family and friends are requested to meet at Morris-Baker by 9:30 AM Tuesday to go in procession. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM Monday prior to the service.
