Victor R. Duncan

Victor R. Duncan, 77, 119 Fairlawn Drive, Johnson City, died Thursday, April 12, 2007 at his residence. Mr. Duncan was a native of Hawkins County who had lived most of his life in Johnson City. He was the son of the late Haynes Duncan and Grace Fields Duncan. In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by one sister, Wilma Duncan and two brothers, Haynes Duncan, Jr. and Bobby Duncan. He was owner of the Duncan Gas Service. He was a U.S Army veteran. Mr. Duncan was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Survivors include: his wife, Doris Duncan, of the home; two daughters, Dawn Duncan, of Cleveland, Ohio and Diann Duncan, of Johnson City; one son, Ross Duncan and his wife Katherine, of Johnson City; four sisters; Imogene Fuller and her husband Alan, of Chucky, UnaVee Gaby, of Georgia, Helen Everly, of Knoxville and Robbie Cobble, of Knoxville; three brothers, James Duncan and his wife Judy, of Knoxville, Steve Duncan and his wife Sue, of California and Mike Duncan and his wife Kathy, of Oklahoma; three grandchildren, Alexa, Gracie and Trinny Duncan all of Johnson City. The graveside service for Vic Duncan will be conducted at 1 PM Tuesday, April 17, 2007 in the Mountain Home National Cemetery. Bishop Clint Hurley will officiate. Family and friends will meet at the funeral chapel at 12:30 PM Tuesday to go in procession to the cemetery. Active pallbearers will be family and friends. Military honors will be accorded by the VFW Post # 3382 and the Tennessee National Guard of Kingsport. The family will receive friends in the funeral chapel from 6 to 8 PM Monday, April 16, 2007.
