Violet Fink

Violet Mitchell Fink, 87, 1806 Lamons Lane, Johnson City died Sunday, January 7, 2007 in the Sycamore Shoals Hospital in Elizabethton. Mrs. Fink was a native of Washington County, TN, lived in Richmond, VA from 1963 to 1987 and returned to Johnson City. She was a daughter of the late James Thomas and Claudia Elvira Pritchard Mitchell. Mrs. Fink was a retired Sales Clerk-Cashier in several uptown department stores. She was a member of the Harmony Baptist Church in Jonesborough. She is preceded in death by: her parents; four sisters, Ethel Rectar, Beulah Ferguson, Mattie Ruth Sammons, and Edith Ford; two brothers, James T. 'Jim' Mitchell and Reginald Mitchell. Survivors include: one son, Marvin Dale Fink of Elizabethton; two sisters, Thelma Roe of Johnson City, and Helen Louise Shelton of Chesterfield, VA; two grandchildren, Joseph Dale Fink of Elizabethton and Robin Nicole Brinson of Richland, NC; two great grandchildren, Haley Brinson and Miranda Price, both of Richlands, NC; several nieces and nephews also survive. The funeral service for Violet Mitchell Fink will be conducted at 2 PM Wednesday, January 10, 2007 in the Morris-Baker North Chapel. Rev. Steve Pate will officiate. Interment will follow in the Monte Vista Memorial Park. Active pallbearers will be Jimmie Joe Mitchell, Kelly Mitchell, Brian Mitchell, Johnie Ford, Darsie 'Pete' Ferguson, and Kenneth Ferguson. The family will receive friends in the funeral chapel from 12 Noon to 2 PM Wednesday prior to the service.
