Violet Ruth Pealer

Violet Ruth Pealer, 67, of Watauga, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, August 11, 2012 at Asbury Place in Johnson City.She was a native of Johnson City and a daughter of the late Harry C. and Viola White Campbell. She was also preceded by her husband of 41 years, George Pealer, by one daughter, Mary 'Sissy'? Babb, two sisters, Jean and Carolyn Campbell, two nephews, Danny Cross and Butch Williams, Jr. and one niece, Carol Gouge. Mrs. Pealer was a member of The Bible Church in Johnson City. For many years she had worked in Food Service at many different places in Johnson City. Survivors include; one son, George Edward Pealer of Johnson City; four grandchildren, Emily and Stephanie Babb and Dustin Pealer and Sara Jane; three sisters, Jewell Roark and her husband, Harold of Florida, Diane Williams and her husband Butch and Mary Cross and her husband Frank all of Watauga; a son in law, Ricky Babb of Johnson City and several nieces and nephews. A special thank you goes out to all the healthcare workers at Asbury. Graveside services will be conducted at 2:00pm Thursday from the Washington County Memory Gardens Rev. Lenny Smith and Pastor Gary Hyder will officiate. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12:30 until 1:30 pm on Thursday.
