Virginia Louise Ford

Virginia 'Louise'? Ford, 73 of 204 Old Mountainview Road, Piney Flats, TN, died Wednesday, September 23, 2009. She was a native of Washington County, only daughter of the late Joseph Munsey and Rebecca Detless Potter Orton. Louise was a homemaker, mother and grandmother, better known as Mama and Mamaw to her family. She was a very loving parent and raised seven children, she always had a smile but knew how to make those children toe the line when necessary. Louise attended the Roan Street Free Will Baptist Church. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by three brothers, Bill, Tom and Toby Orton; a son-in-law, Michael Hodge. Survivors include her husband of 56 years, Samuel Eugene 'Gene'? Ford of the home; four sons and three daughters-in-law, Tony and Teresa Ford of Piney Flats, Randy Lynn and Maria Ford of Gray, Samuel Dean '?Sammy or Rat'? and Lisa Ford and Mickey Lee Ford all of Johnson City; three daughters and a son-in-law, Teresa Louise 'Sister'? and Bobby Woods of Elizabethton, Lora Jane 'Loretta'? Hodge of Jonesborough and Patricia Ann 'Tish'? Hall of Gray; eight grandchildren, Michele Henegar, Chasity Kilgore, Whitney Garland, Jensen Ford, Jena Terry, Channa Ford, Brandon Woods and Taylor Ford; four great grandchildren, Luke Henegar, Keelyn Henegar, Keegan Kilgore and Jackson Denny; several nieces and nephews; also a special friend, Glen Hall. A funeral service is scheduled for Sunday, September 27, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. in the South Chapel of the Morris '' Baker Funeral Home under the direction of Rev. Kenneth Grindstaff. The family will receive friends from 12:00 p.m. until time of service at two. A committal service will be conducted at the Happy Valley Memorial Park following the funeral service. Active pallbearers will be: Johnny Henegar, Brandon Kilgore, Tommy, Tim and Jim Orton and Jerry Bales.
