Wayne Scott Elrod

Wayne Scott Elrod, age 77, of Johnson City, TN passed away at his home on January 28, 2019 after a lengthy battle with cancer. Wayne was born on May 26th, 1941 and resided in Johnson City where he graduated from Science Hill High School. He served four years in the United States Navy. Wayne was a licensed plumber, following in the footsteps of his father, working both locally and traveling during his career. He loved his family and greatly enjoyed hunting and fishing in the mountains of North Carolina, as well as watching Nascar racing many other sports. He was preceded in death by his parents, Warren G. Elrod and Carrie (Peterson) Elrod; his brothers, Larry Elrod and Warren ?Butch' Elrod; and special cousin, Dennis Presnell.
