Wert Allen Bud Pace, Jr

Wert Allen ?Bud' Pace, Jr., 77, Jonesborough, TN, passed away Sunday, May 10, 2015 in the James H. Quillen VA Medical Center. Bud was a native of Dizney, KY. He was a son of the late Wert Allen Pace, Sr. and Hazel Ruth Steele Pace. Bud proudly served in the U. S. Army. He was a graduate of Evarts High. Bud was a member of the Masonic Arcana Lodge #489 F & AM Limestone, TN. He was also a member of the American Legion and retired from Doehler-Jarvis of Greeneville, TN. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Jennifer Stewart and Barbara Sizemore. Survivors include: his wife, Shirley Jean Pace; six children, Wert Allen Pace, III, Tonya Davis and her husband Kenny, Melanie Cooper and her husband Jim, Kim Nolan Hobbs, Tika Wimer and her husband Mike, and Scott Pace; nine grandchildren, Lauren, Allen, Hayes, Derek, Austin, Lucas, Traci, Hunter, and Eden; five great grandchildren, Evan, Scotty, Jaxon, Ainsley, and Jacob; brother, Darnell Pace; sister, Bobbie Joyce Stewart; and numerous beloved nieces and nephews. The family of Wert Allen ?Bud' Pace, Jr. will receive friends from 12 pm to 1:30 pm on Thursday, May 14, 2015 in Morris-Baker Funeral Home. A Masonic rites ceremony will begin at 1:30 pm. Family and friends will then proceed to Mountain Home National Cemetery for a 2:30 pm graveside service. Pallbearers will be the Harlan, KY Honor Guard. Harlan, KY Honor Guard will also perform military honors. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Veterans Administration, Voluntary Service (135) P/O Box 4000 Mountain Home, TN 37684 or to the Harlan Honor Guard, PO Box 704, Baxter, KY 40806.
