Wilder Street, 78, 4203 Ranch Road, died Friday, April 8, 2005, at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center. Mr. Street was a native of Mitchell County, NC, and had lived in Johnson City for the past 43 years. He was a son of the late Charlie and Frances Ingram Street and was also preceded in death by three brothers, Arthur Street, Ray Street and Halder Street; and one sister, Josieveania Street. Mr. Street was a WWII US Army veteran. He was a member of Keystone Free Will Baptist Church. Mr. Street is survived by his wife, Charlotte Street; two daughters, Sandra Ledwell and her husband, Ron, Johnson City, and Betty Stooksbury and her husband, Bob, Alaska; four grandchildren, Amanda Orzechowski, Ashley Stooksbury, Stephen Stooksbury and Nicole Stooksbury; one great grandchild, Danae Orzechowski; five brothers, Wilson Street, Fred Street, Charles Street and Henry Street all of Buladean, NC, and Ed Street, Hickory, NC; one sister, Pauline Jenkins, Buladean, NC; and several nieces and nephews. A funeral service for Mr. Street will be conducted at 1 PM Tuesday, April 12, 2005, from the Morris-Baker Funeral Home South Chapel. Reverend Bill Greer and Reverend Scott Jenkins will officiate. Burial will follow at Monte Vista Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Henry Street Jr., Florian Street, Donald Street, Gary Street, Randy Street, Brandon Huskins, Floyd Braswell, Junior Hopson and John Orzechowski. The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM Monday, April 11, 2005, at the funeral home.
