William Grady Bill Hensley

June 10, 1932 — January 19, 2016

William Grady 'Bill' Hensley, age 83, entered heaven on January 19, 2016 after a lengthy illness. He was born to the late William Shuford Hensley and Blanche Reed Hensley on June 10th, 1932, in Southwest Virginia. Bill lived most of his life in Johnson City, Tennessee, but had moved to Cedar Park, Texas in 2013. Bill graduated from ETSC Training School in 1950. He was a retiree of Eastman Kodak where he worked as an electrician for more than 30 years. He was currently a member of Hallmark Baptist Church, Austin, Texas. While living in Tennessee, he had most recently been a member of Harvest Baptist Church in Elizabethton. Bill?s favorite pastime was sharing the gospel with those around him, regardless of where he was. Bill is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Katherine Hodges Hensley; his brother, Carl Thomas Hensley; and his precious granddaughter, Carol Hensley Singletary. He is survived by his daughters, Debra Godsey and husband, Dr. Gene Woltering, of Kenner, Louisiana; Lesa Hensley Cox and husband, Michael Cox, of Cedar Park, Texas; and son, William G. Hensley II and wife, Judy Good Hensley, of Johnson City. Bill?s family includes 4 grandchildren ? Regina Godsey Cloud, Brian Mann, Bradley Mann and Michaela Cox. He has 3 great-grandchildren ? Kaden Grady Cloud, Lucas Mann and Lillian Mann. Bill is also survived by his sister, Mrs. Jerry Reames of Petersburg, Virginia, and several nieces and nephews. There will be a visitation at Morris-Baker and graveside service at Monte Vista Memorial Park. Scheduling will be posted as soon as it becomes available.
