William H. Adams

William H. Adams, 79, 1302 Iris Avenue, Johnson City died Saturday, September 9, 2006 in the James H. Quillen Veterans Affair Medical Center at Mountain Home. Mr. Adams was a native of Smithville, NC and had lived in Johnson City for the past ten years. He was a son of the late William G. and Katharine Hinton Adams. Mr. Adams was a retired employee of the Owens Illinois Glass Co. in Regional Sales. He was a member of the St. John?s Episcopal Church. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of WW II. Mr. Adams is preceded in death by: his parents; one son, Stephen Adams and one daughter, Beth Adams. Survivors include: his wife, Kathryn Rogerson Adams of the home; one daughter, Kathryn Gayle Buttram of Johnson City; two grandchildren, Nathan and wife Bonita Buttram and Samatha Buttram, all of Johnson City; one great granddaughter, Caprina Buttram of Johnson City. A Memorial Service for William H. Adams will be conducted Friday, September 15, 2006 at 11 AM at St. John?s Episcopal Church. Rev. Margaret K. Zeller will officiate. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the St. John?s Episcopal Church Building Fund, 500 N. Roan Street, Johnson City, TN 37601.
