William Harold Rowe

William Harold Rowe, 82, 153 Rowe Lane, died Sunday, December 31, 2006 at Four Oaks Healthcare Center. Mr. Rowe was a native and lifelong resident of Washington County. He was a son of the late Robert Edward and Myrtle Ledford Rowe. In addition to his parents, Mr. Rowe was preceded in death by his wife, Velma Hodges Rowe and one sister, Mildred Webster. Mr. Rowe was retired from Holston Defense. He was a WWII US Navy veteran. Mr. Rowe was member of Princeton Presbyterian Church. He was a member of Sinking Creek Masonic Lodge. Survivors include five children; Robin Goodman, Jonesborough, Rebecca Hampton, Johnson City, Philip Rowe, Rowlett, TX, Rosemary Leveritt, Jacksonville, FL and Regina Gregg, Fayetteville, NC; one sister, Mary Bell Jenkins, Jonesborough and ten grandchildren. A graveside funeral service for Mr. Rowe will be held at 11 AM Thursday, January 4, 2007 at Monte Vista Memorial Park. Reverend Lenny Smith will officiate. Family and friends are asked to assemble at the funeral home at 10:30 AM and travel in procession to the cemetery. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM Wednesday at the funeral home.
