William Ray Bill Strohm

Mr. William 'Bill'? Ray Strohm, 70, of Johnson City, was called home by God on February 14, 2015, to celebrate his 71st birthday on February 15, 2015, in Heaven. He died peacefully at his home in Johnson City after a battle with lung cancer. He was born in Pittsburgh, PA and was a son of the late Lester W. and Eleanor L. Strohm. Survivors include his wife of forty-nine years, Carole Ann Mullins Strohm, of the home; two daughters, Lori Ann Strohm Arthur and her husband Chris, of Johnson City, and Traci Michelle Strohm, of Kingsport; a son, William Craig Strohm and his wife Ginger, of Jonesborough; five grandchildren, Ashley Arthur, Matthew Arthur, Connor Arthur, Alex Strohm, and Lee Ann Strohm; a sister, Dolores Strohm Nichols and her husband Dr. William R. Nichols, of Glenshaw, PA; and several sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, and cousins. William graduated from Shaler High School, Glenshaw, PA, and attended East Tennessee State University. He served in both the Pennsylvania and Tennessee Army National Guard and was a member of St. Marys Catholic Church. He retired from Eastman Chemical Company Engineering Division after thirty-two years of service. He was a life-long fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers, Pittsburgh Pirates, and ETSU sports. His favorite pastimes were enjoying his grandchildren and camping. The family of Mr. William 'Bill'? Ray Strohm will receive friends from 5 to 7 PM Thursday, February 19, 2015, at St. Marys Catholic Church. A Mass of Resurrection will be conducted at 10 AM Friday at St. Marys Catholic Church. Father Peter Iorio will officiate. The graveside committal service will follow in the Monte Vista Memorial Park. Active pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to St. Marys Catholic Church, Re: Bill Strohm Memorial, 2211 E.
