William Russell Berry

William Russell Berry, 39, 1220 Knob Creek Road, Johnson City, died Monday, October 15, 2007 at his residence. Mr. Berry was the son of Bill Berry and Barbara Berry. His paternal grandparents, Fred and Grace Berry and his maternal grandparents, Robert and Nannie Taylor, preceded him in death. Mr. Berry was an attorney. He graduated from the University of Memphis Cecil C. Humphreys School of Law and began his practice in Crittenden County, Arkansas prior to moving to Johnson City. He was a U.S. Army veteran. In addition to his parents, he is survived by a daughter, Virginia Arabella 'Ginnie'? Berry, of Gray; one sister, Karen Berry, of California; former wife, Susan Saylor, of Gray; two aunts, Linda Lockard and her husband John, of Johnson City and Betty Turner and her husband Wyley, of Kentucky; four cousins, Kevin and David Lockard both of Johnson City and Bobby and Tommy Turner both of Kentucky; one nephew; one niece. The funeral service for William Russell Berry will be conducted at 7 PM Friday, October 19, 2007 in the Morris-Baker South Chapel. Rev. Leroy Davis will officiate. The graveside service will be conducted at 1PM Saturday, October 20, 2007 in the Otes United Methodist Church Cemetery. Family and friends will meet at the cemetery at 12:45 PM. Family and fellow attorneys will serve as pallbearers. Military honors will be accorded by the VFW Post # 3382 and the Tennessee National Guard of Kingsport. The family will receive friends in the funeral chapel from 5 to 7 PM Friday prior to the service.
