Wilma C. Blevins

September 22, 1929 — November 19, 2006

Wilma C. Blevins, 77, 2530 Park Ave., Johnson City, died Sunday, November 19, 2006 at her residence. Mrs. Blevins was a Kingsport native and had lived most of her life in Johnson City. She was a daughter of the late Dewey Noe and Anna Ruth Combs McQueen. Her husband, William Allen Blevins and two half brothers, James Ray McQueen and Howard Mack McQueen, preceded Mrs. Blevins in death. She was member of Hawthorne Church of the Brethren and a lifetime member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the VFW Post 2108. Mrs. Blevins was survived by three sons, David Blevins and Benjamin Blevins both of Johnson City and Darrell Blevins, Lake Charles, LA; one daughter, Tamara Ginley, Knoxville; two sisters, Doris Carroll, Johnson City and Joyce Gilley, Tarpon Springs, FL; five grandchildren, Bobby Blevins, Amanda Blevins Crowe, Darrell E. Blevins, Shannon Amyx and Hassie Ginley and several nieces and nephews. A graveside service for Mrs. Blevins will be held at 1 PM Friday, November 24, 2006 at Mountain Home National Cemetery. Reverend Hollis Ford will officiate. The family will receive friends from 11:30 AM until 12:30 PM Friday at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 7 PM Friday, November 24, 2006 at Hawthorne Church of the Brethren.
