Alejandro Antonio Alex Candelas

Alex A. Candelas, 21, 157 Greenlee Road, died Friday, January 13, 2006 at his residence. Alex was a native of Miami, FL and had lived in Johnson City for the past five years. He was a son of Ana Nixon, Badin, NC. Survivors, in addition to his mother, include: one brother, Ivan 'Tito' F. Fernandez Jr., Badin, NC; one sister, Jennifer M. Nixon, Badin, NC; grandparents, Provi and Pete Battle, New London, NC; his aunt Godmother, Maria Weber, Forsythe, MT; several other aunts, uncles and cousins; best friends, Stephen, Trisha and Audrei Miller, Johnson City; best friends, Josh , Tracey and Taylor Harvey, Elizabethton and several other special friends. A Christian Mass of Burial will be celebrated at 8 PM Thursday at St. Mary?s Catholic Church. Father Gerard Finucane will be the celebrant. The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM at the church.
