Anthony Delbove

Anthony DelBove, 102, Piney Flats, TN, died Thursday, May 24, 2018 at his residence. He was a New York City native who lived most of his life on Staten Island. He was a son of the late Giuseppe and Giuseppina Figliozzi DelBove. Mr. DelBove was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. During his career he owned a popular grocery store in the West Brighton section of Staten Island. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by: his wife of 54 years, Vincenza Verdina DelBove; eight siblings; and a granddaughter, Julie DelBove Vita. Survivors include: four children, Joseph DelBove, and his wife Mildred, Carol Weigl, and her husband Edward, all of Staten Island, Deborah Nicodemo, and her husband Philip, of Metuchen, New Jersey, and Anthony DelBove, and his partner Daniel Connors, of Piney Flats, TN; ten grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren, cousins, nieces and nephews. The funeral mass is at 10:00 am Saturday, June 9 at the Church of St. Mary, Wappingers Falls, NY. Interment will be at the Poughkeepsie Rural Cemetery in Poughkeepsie, NY.
