Barbara Ann Merritt

Barbara Ann Merritt, 69, Elizabethton, passed away Wednesday, April 17, 2019, at NHC HealthCare.
Barbara was born in Cincinnati, OH to the late Charles Eller and Margie Ann Proffitt.
Barbara was lovingly referred to as “Nana”. She was happiest spending time with her family and adored her grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Barbara was preceded in death by one sister, Jackie Hampton.
Survivors include: one daughter, Angel Taylor and her husband Shane; one son, JD Chambers and his wife Amber; six grandchildren, Adam, Tyler, Seth, Jacob, Chase and Gage; four great grandchildren, Maddox, Aubrey, Alianna and Brinley; one brother; one sister; and several nieces and nephews.
The family of Barbara Merritt will receive friends from 12 PM until 2 PM Friday, April 19, 2019, at Morris-Baker Funeral Home. The funeral will follow at 2 PM with Rev. BJ Taylor officiating. A committal service will be held at a later date.
