Barbara Jean Jenkins

Barbara Jean Jenkins, 63, of 22 Windrow Court, Johnson City, died Friday, June 24, 2005 at her residence following an illness. She was a native of Chattanooga, daughter of the late, J.A. and Edith Caylor Patty and had lived most of her life in Chattanooga. Barbara was a member of the Mt. Vernon Baptist Church in Chattanooga and was a nanny and housekeeper. She had lived in Johnson City for the last seven years. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a grandson. Survivors include; three daughters, Glynda Cate, Johnson City, Angela Houts, Chattanooga and Melissa Jenkins of Greenville; three sisters and four brothers; six grandchildren, Abagail Cate of Johnson City, Beau, Bethany, Teal and Tyler Bilyey and Brittany Houts all of Chattanooga; several nieces and nephews. A graveside service is scheduled for Monday, June 27, 2005 at the Greenwood Cemetery, 2013 Greenwood Road, Chattanooga, TN (423) 698-6706 at 3:00 p.m. under the direction of Rev. Tom Crews. Family and friends are asked to assemble at the cemetery.
