It is with a heavy heart that we share the news of Barbara Mae Pickering, who passed away peacefully on September 4, 2025, at the age of 87. Born on August 8, 1938, in Manchester, Connecticut, Barbara spent her life bringing joy and warmth to those around her.Barbara was a beloved member of her family and Jonesborough TN community, known for her independent spirit and kind nature. She dedicated many years to her career in the insurance industry at Travelers Insurance Company, where her clerical skills and hard work left a lasting impression on her colleagues.Barbara was a cherished aunt to her nieces, Jacqueline Johnson, and Linda Tibbetts.

She is preceded in death by her Husband Carroll (Duck) Pickering: Parents Gunnar and Isabel Rosendahl.Barbara's gentle soul will be deeply missed but fondly remembered by all who were fortunate enough to know her.
