Barry Curtis Elswick

Barry Curtis Elswick, 47, of Kingsport, died on Tuesday, May 22, 2018 at his residence. He was a native of Bluefield, West Virginia, son of Billy Curtis Elswick and the late Joyce Ann Matney Elswick. Barry was a retired employee of the Optical Fiber Technology Company. In addition to his mother, a step-mother, Judith Lynn Elswick also preceded him in death. Survivors include: his father and step-mother, Billy Curtis and Jeanette T. Elswick of Gloucester, VA; a brother and sister-in-law, Michael and Vanessa Elswick of Charlottesville, VA; four sisters and three brothers-in-law, Tonya and Eddie Moreno of Johnson City, Tabitha Paxton of Kingsport Karen and Dale Bittinger of Rainelle, WV, and Lisa and Garnie Miller of Bluefield, VA; eight nieces and nephews, Jill, Makayla, Monica, Allen, Marcus, Megan, Maureen, and Andrew. The family will receive friends on Friday, May 25, 2018 from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm then a funeral service will be conducted in the Dogwood Chapel of the Morris-Baker Funeral Home under the direction of Rev. Kim Crowder.
