Bessie Mcallister

Bessie 'Bobbie'? McAllister, 82, of Johnson City, Tennessee passed away Friday, June 13, 2014 at her residence in Johnson City. She was a native of Washington County and the daughter of the late Adgie Tipton and Marie Cousins Mitchell. Bessie was a retired security guard. She was a talented writer, poet, lover of animals, enjoyed gardening and flowers. Bessie was a wise counselor to all her family and friends. Survivors include: daughters, Cathy Summerlin (husband Vernon) of Franklin, TN.; daughter, Melissa Wilkerson of Knoxville, TN.; brother, Bud Tipton (wife Carolyn) of Piney Flats, TN.; sisters, Wilma Holland (husband Leon) of Piney Flats, TN.; Marie Hughes of Jonesborough, TN.; grandchild, Zack Wilkerson; host of nieces, nephews, family and many friends; special loving dog, Cassie.
