Listen to Obituary

Betty Jean Godsey passed away peacefully at her home on February 11, 2026 surrounded by family, love and comfort. She has now gone to her eternal home, where she is at rest in the presence of her Father. She has now been reunited with the love of her life.

Betty spent her days with a deep love for living and a heart full of joy. She cherished every opportunity to go places with her adventurous spirit, experienced the world around her, and shared simple pleasures with those she loved. Her joy for living was contagious, and her presence brought light into every room she entered. Her life was a reflection of gratitude for God's blessings and the beauty of each day.

Betty was a devoted wife, a wonderful mother, and a treasured mamaw and great grammy - roles she carried with pride and unconditional love. Her family was the center of her world and she poured her heart into caring for them with patience, gentleness, and love. Through her words and actions, she showed what it meant to live with faith, compassion, and grace. She always put others before her own. Whether through her comforting words, her gentle guidance, or the love she poured into everyday moments, she created a home filled with warmth and belonging.

Betty's life was a testimony of love, perseverance, and trust in God's plan. Though her earthly journey has ended, her spirit lives on in the countless lives she touched. Her legacy will continue through the love she gave, the memories she created, and the faith she carried with her throughout her life.

She will be deeply missed and forever remembered for her beautiful soul, her love of life, and the way she made everyone feel special and cared for.

We take comfort in knowing she is now reunited with loved ones who have gone before her and that she is whole, healed, and at peace. Though our hearts grieve her absence, we rejoice in the promise of everlasting life and the hope of being together again one day.
