Bobbie Bivens Taylor

Bobbie Bivens Taylor, age 66, of Johnson City, Tennessee, passed away on Sunday, September 17, 2023, at the Johnson City Medical Center.


Bobbie was born October 8, 1956, to the late Robert Ovbey Bivens and Agnes Anne Harrison Bivens in Knoxville, Tennessee. She earned her master’s degree in education from ETSU. In addition to being a wife and mother, she worked as a teacher for Johnson City and Sullivan County schools. She was a member of Grace Free Will Baptist Church.


Bobbie enjoyed being active and running, she enjoyed make-up and shopping, and she loved her dogs, especially Susie.

Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, Robert “Bob” Taylor; daughters, Karen Williams and Kellie Taylor; son in law, Eddison Williams; grandchildren, Jasmine, Eli, and Ariel Williams; and cousins, Priscilla Roberts, Carroll Edmonds, Joy Matthews, Tommy Warren, and Allen Harrison.


There will be a graveside service at 3:00 pm, Thursday, September 21, 2023, at Washington County Memory Gardens. Those attending are asked to please meet at the cemetery by 2:50 pm.
