Bonnie Herrell

Bonnie Herrell, 91, of 4108 Sanford Drive, Johnson City, died Sunday, June 18, 2006 at the Johnson City Medical Center. She was a native of Yancey County, NC but had lived in Johnson City since 1950. She was a daughter of the late W. A. and Lillie Mae Adkins Watts. Mrs. Herrell was also preceded in death by her husband, Bryson Herrell and by one sister. She attended Harvest Time Baptist Church . She also attended the Adult Day Care Center in Johnson City where she was involved in various activities. Survivors include; one daughter, Sue Barrett and her husband, Junior of Johnson City; one son, Tilford Herrell and his wife, Jenny of Gray, one brother, Zeb Watts, Erwin; two grandchildren, Gregory Harrell and his wife Sue of Johnson City and Debra Hill and her husband Scott of Fall Branch; four great grandchildren, Natasha Walker and Bradley Hill both of Fall Branch, Ashley Herrell and Austin Herrell both of Johnson City. Funeral services will be conducted at 8:00 PM Monday from the Morris-Baker Funeral Home North Chapel. Rev. Kenneth Kyker and Rev. George P. Higgins will officiate. Burial services will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday in Roselawn Memory Gardens. The family and friends will meet at the funeral home by 10:20 AM Tuesday and proceed to the cemetery. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 PM Monday at the funeral home.
