Brian John Mcginty

Brian John McGinty, 51, of 520 Crest Court, Johnson City, died Monday, November 16, 2009 at his residence. He was a native of New Orleans, Louisiana, son of the late John Theisman and Catherine Audrey Chidester McGinty. Brian was a retired salesman and member of the St. Marys Catholic Church. He had also been involved in the Eucharistic Ministry of the church. Survivors include: two sisters, Patricia Ann Jewett of Gray, TN, Kathleen Ann Stith of Cleveland, OH; three brothers, Ronald John McGinty of Jasper, GA, Michael John McGinty of Shawsville, VA, John Charles McGinty of Point-A-La-Hache, LA; several nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, November 18, 2009 at the St. Marys Catholic Church, under the direction of Father Akata. The family will receive friends at 10:00 a.m. at the church, until time of the Mass at 11:00 a.m. Brian is to be entombed in the Lakelawn-Metairie Cemetery, New Orleans, LA at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, November 20, 2009. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Building Fund of the St. Marys Catholic Church, 2211 E. Lakeview Drive, Johnson City, TN 37601.
