Carl L. Hoilman, Sr.

Carl Lee Hoilman Sr., 62, native of Washington County, passed away at his home in Knoxville, TN on Thursday, January 6, 2022.

Carl was a mechanic by trade and by passion. He loved to both spend time fixing and racing cars: new, old or in-between. If he wasn’t under the hood, he was spending time with his family, often at Dollywood or out in Gatlinburg. He loved NASCAR and he loved his dogs, Buddy & Scar.

In addition to his parents, Willie Dugger Hoilman and James Hoilman, he is preceded in death by: one son, James Guinn; grandson, Danny Runyon Jr.; and siblings, Kathy Coffey and George “Ho Ho” Coffey.

Those surviving include: his long-time fiancé, Gloria Stines; children, Crystal Greer, Carl Lee Hoilman Jr., Kevin Hoilman, Patricia Hoilman, Loretta Stines, Natasha Vannoy, and Justin Stines; siblings, Jerry Hoilman, Linda Boyer, and Tammy Ward; twenty three grandkids and several great grandkids.

The family of Carl Hoilman will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Thursday, January 20, 2022, at Morris-Baker Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made through the donate link on this page.
