Catherine Downes Helton

Catherine Downes Helton, 54, 730 Potters Falls Road, Wartburg, TN died Sunday, April 8, 2007 at the Roane Medical Center. Mrs. Helton was a native of Johnson City and had lived in Wartburg for the past several years. She was a daughter of Selma Louise Blevins Downes and the late Ralph Kenneth Downes Jr. Mrs. Helton was a former Dental Hygienist. Mrs. Helton was a member of First Christian Church, Johnson City. Survivors in addition to her mother, include her husband, Richard Helton; one brother, Jim Downes and his wife Deborah, Johnson City; one sister, Diane Downes, Johnson City; niece, Jennifer Ayoob and her husband, George, Johnson City; nephew, Jeremy Downes and his wife, Robin, Jacksonville, FL; great nephews, Mekael and Cody Dugger both of Johnson City. A funeral service for Mrs. Helton will be conducted at 8 PM Tuesday, April 10, 2007 from the Morris-Baker Funeral Home North Chapel. Mr. Eugene Wigginton will officiate. Graveside services will be held at 10:30 AM Wednesday at Monte Vista Memorial Park. Family and friends are asked to assemble at the cemetery. Pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM Tuesday at the funeral home.
