Charlotte Louise Fortune

Charlotte Louise Johnston Fortune, 85, of Rogersville, died Friday, January 13, 2012 at the Franklin Woods Community Hospital. She was a native of Greene County, daughter of the late Bryan and Gladys Bowers Johnston. Charlotte was a homemaker and member of the First Christian Church of Rogersville. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Hubert McCorkle Fortune. Survivors include: a son and daughter-in-law, Bryan and Shannon Purner Fortune of Johnson City; a brother and sister-in-law, Bill and Helen Johnston; four grandchildren, Ashley N., Caleb B., Chandler G. and Joshua A. Fortune. A memorial service is scheduled for Tuesday, January 17, 2012 at 7:00 p. m. at the Clark Street Baptist Church, under the direction of Rev. Joe Beaver. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. A committal service will be conducted on Wednesday, January 18, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. in the Monte Vista Memorial Park.
