Claire Ann Diehl

Claire Ann Diehl, age 76, of Johnson City, TN, passed away on Wednesday, June 7, 2023 following a brief illness. She was born in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania and moved to Johnson City to be with her family after retiring.

Ms. Diehl retired from the State of Pennsylvania. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star both in Pennsylvania and Tennessee. Ms. Diehl was a member of Our Saviour Lutheran Church. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends and watching college football, especially Penn State and Tennessee Volunteers.

Ms. Diehl was preceded in death by her parents, Wilbur Franklin Diehl and Edna Dietz Diehl, and her brother, Kenneth Lynn Diehl. She is survived by a sister-in-law, Barbara Knipp Diehl; nephew, Steve (Regina) Diehl; nieces, Kathy (Mickey) Leonard and Aimee (Luke) Range; great-nephews and nieces, Michael (Laura) Leonard and Colton Leonard, Makendra and Emily Diehl, and Nathan and Wyatt Range. Ms. Diehl was excited about her great, great niece on the way.

Ms. Diehl will be laid to rest at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, June 20, 2023, at Greenelawn Memory Gardens, 4159 Asheville Hwy, Greeneville, TN 37743. Those attending are asked to meet at the cemetery by 1:50 PM.
