Clara O Holoway

Clara Olivene Holoway, 94, of Johnson City, Tennessee, left us on July 22, 2026, to join her Lord and Savior. Born on April 10, 1932, in Washington County, TN, Clara dedicated her life to being a loving homemaker and a devoted Christian. Known for her warm heart and caring spirit, she brought joy to everyone around her, particularly her beloved family and friends.

Clara was preceded in death by her husband, George W. Holoway, as well as her parents, Cleve and Tina Keen, and her brothers Grover, Harold, Raymond, Bill, and Lawrence.

She is survived by her two children, Steve Holloway of Bristol and Faye & (Tony) Peterson of Johnson City, along with her brother, James Keen, in Shreveport, Louisiana. Clara also leaves behind a wonderful legacy through her grandchildren-Charity & (Toma) Sparks, Tara Blevins, Heather Holloway, and Heath Holloway-and her great-grandchildren, Taylor & (Trevor) Gebert and Tori Sparks, Jacob Royston, and Liam Blevins. She will be missed by many nieces and nephews, along with her dear friend Diane Scalf.

Clara's life was a beautiful example of love, faith, and kindness, and she will always be remembered for the impact she had on those lucky enough to know her.

Graveside services will be held Monday July 27, 2026 at 2:00 PM at Washington Co. Memory Gardens.
