Clarence S. Tarter

Clarence S. Tarter, 53, Johnson City, died Saturday, November 7, 2009 at the James H. Quillen Veterans Affairs Medical Center. Mr. Tarter was a native of Rogersville, TN, a former resident of Marietta, GA and had lived in Johnson City for the past few months. He was a son of the late Clarence and Frances Tarter. Mr. Tarter was a US Army veteran. Survivors include one son, Jarrod Tarter, Knoxville; one brother, Adrian Tarter and one sister, Octavia Hampton, Kingsport. A military graveside service for Mr. Tarter will be held at 2:00 pm Monday, November 16, 2009 at Mountain Home National Cemetery, Mountain Home, TN.
