Clifford Grady Whiddon

Clifford G. Whiddon, 78, of Johnson City, passed away on Thursday, December 31, 2009 at the Johnson City Medical Center. He was a native of Georgia but had lived in Johnson City for several years. He was a son of the late Clifford Grady Whiddon, Sr. and Cora Louise Buchanan Whiddon. Mr. Whiddon was a member of the Central Church of Christ and was retired from WETB Radio in Sales. Survivors include his wife, Theresa; two daughters, Melissa Whiddon Luby and Priscilla Whiddon Bunn both of Alexandria, VA; two stepsons, Aaron Luchini of Huntsville, Alabama and Mark Luchini of Johnson City; one sister, Elizabeth Whiddon Corryof DeBary, FL; four grandchildren, James J. Luby, Jr., Elizabeth Marquerite Luby, Katie Luchini Bowers and Jonathan Angelo Luchini. A funeral service will be conducted at 8:00 pm Sunday, January 3, 2010 from the Morris-Baker South Chapel. Mr. Tim Hall will officiate. Committal services will be held at Mountain Home National Cemetery at a later time.
