Damos Leonard Grogg, Sr.

Damos Leonard Grogg, Sr. age 93 of Johnson City, Tennessee passed away on September 16, 2025. He was born to the late Sam and Melissa Grogg of Kingsport, Tennessee. He was a Navy Seaman 3rd Class. Damos was lifelong member of Boones Creek Baptist Church. He was a devout christian who loved to study God's Word.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Hazel Ramona Grogg; siblings: Sevier Grogg, Juanita Calloway, Andrew Grogg, Georgia Calloway, Thelma Venable, Olivette Fletcher, Keener Grogg, Beulah Haynes, and Lewis Grogg.

Survivors include sons, Lenny and Fain Grogg; grandchildren: Justin, Nicholas, and Ben Grogg, as well as several nieces and nephews. Also surviving Brian Shanesy of Norfolk, Virginia.

The family will receive friends on Monday, September 22, 2025 at Morris-Baker Funeral Home, from 5:00pm until 7:00pm. A funeral service will be immediately following at 7:00pm with Rev. Curtis Hurt and Rev. Jody Jenkins officiating. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, September 23, 2025 at 11:00am in Washington County Memorial Gardens.
