Darlene Rose Omland

Darlene Rose Omland, 79, of Gray, TN, passed away peacefully at her home August 21, 2018, surrounded by loving family and friends. She was a native of Fond du Lac, WI and lived across the country before settling in Johnson City, TN. She lived a long and happy 79 years. Darlene was of the Lutheran faith. Prior to her retirement, Darlene worked as a hairdresser. She was preceded in death by her parents, Erving and Evelyn Hankwitz Schafer. Darlene leaves behind: her husband, Ken Omland, of the home; two children, Kevin Omland, and his wife Joanna, and Pam Raney; two granddaughters, Breanah and Krysta Raney; three sisters, Nancy Luedke, and her husband Butch, Shirley Brester, and Karen Polkovich, and her husband Chuck; and several nieces and nephews. The family of Darlene Omland will receive friends at the family home between the hours of 5:00 and 7:00 pm Tuesday, August 28, 2018. Guests are encouraged to wear informal and colorful clothing befitting a celebration of Darlene?s life.
