Obituary for David "Butch" Milhorn

 David "Butch" Milhorn, went to be home with his Lord and Savior on September 22, 2025, at the age of 78. Butch was born on October 23, 1946, in Johnson City, TN, and he spent most of his life in the Piney Flats area, where he made countless memories with family and friends.

Butch graduated from Mary Hughes High School in 1966 and retired from Quebecor Printing in Kingsport, TN.

David was preceded in death by his parents Sammy Milhorn & Rebecca "Becky" Milhorn Lewis.

Butch is survived by his loving wife, Ruth G. Milhorn, of 59 years; son, Jeff Milhorn (Elizabeth); daughter, Leslie Morelock (Steven); two grandsons, Eli Milhorn, Manny Milhorn; two step grandchildren, Andrea Buchanan (Isaac), Dakota Worley (Mckenzie); two step great grandchildren, Gibson and Carter Buchanan; sister, Kathy Hare (Frank); nieces, Lorri Carver (Ronnie), Krista Ivester (Sam); two nephews, Hank Hare (Beth), Andy Hare (Kelly); several great nieces and nephews; a great great niece; and special "Camping Crew" & friends.

Butch was a loving son, husband, father, brother, grandfather, great grandfather, uncle, and "honorary father" to many of his children's friends. He was an active member of Piney Flats Presbyterian Church.

After retirement, he enjoyed doing handyman work, watching his grandsons play sports, and camping trips with his friends. He enjoyed helping others whenever he could. His life was filled with love for all of his family members and those who were like family and friends.

Graveside service will be held to celebrate his life and legacy at 2:00 PM Saturday September 27, 2025 at St. Paul United Methodist Church Cemetery 1665 Allison Rd. Piney Flats, TN 37686 where family and friends will gather to pay respects.

He will forever be loved by all his family and friends.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Piney Flats Presbyterian Church 6337 Bristol Hwy Piney Flats TN 37686.
