Dawna Lynn Herbst

Dawna Lynn Herbst, 66, of Johnson City, TN, died Thursday, January 3, 2013 at the Christian Care Center of Johnson City. She was a native of Salina, Kansas, daughter of the late James V. Morse and Marian Maxine Chesser. Dawna was a retired social worker and of the Christian faith. She loved animals and gardening but spending time with her family was her favorite activity. Survivors include: her mother, Marian M. Chesser of Kingsport, TN; her husband, Tom Herbst of the home; two sisters, Florence Valentino of Plantation, FL and Connie Chesser of Mission, KS; two brothers, Owen Chesser of Kingsport and Craig Chesser of Seattle, WA. Dawna is to be cremated and buried at a later date in Park Falls, WI.
