Donald Nelson Harrell

Donald Nelson Harrell, 72, of Johnson City went home to be with the LORD, on Thursday, January 22, 2015 at the Johnson City Medical Center. He was a native of Mitchell County, NC, son of the late David Earl and Nada Street Harrell. Donald was a self-employed heavy equipment operator in the construction industry. He was a member of the Piney Grove Free Will Baptist Church. Two sons, Todd and Tim Harrell, also preceded Donald in death. Survivors include: his son and daughter-in-law, Toby and Anna Harrell of Johnson City; two sisters, Bea Gibson of Johnson City and Grace Gouge and her husband, William H. of Unicoi County; his special friend, Sheila Graham of the home; two grandchildren, Melodi McMillan and her husband, Ryan and Noah Harrell; a great grandchild, Israel McMillan; and special children, Michael Graham, Shannon Graham, Megan Graham and Alex Graham. The family will receive friends on Saturday, January 24, 2015 from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm at the Morris-Baker Funeral Home. A funeral service will be conducted at 7:00 pm in the Chapel at Morris-Baker Funeral Home under the direction of Rev. Paul Crowe. A committal service will be held on Monday, January 26, 2015 at 1:00 pm in the Monte Vista Memorial Park with family and friends serving as pallbearers. All those attending are asked to assemble at the funeral home to leave in procession by 12:45 pm.
