Dorothy Claire Saunders

Dorothy Claire Saunders, 86, of Johnson City, died Monday, March 18, 2013 at the Asbury Place in Johnson City. She was a native of Selma, Alabama, daughter of the late Hosea Agustus and Gladys Garrison Barnes. Dorothy was of the Baptist faith. She was a retired government employee having worked for the U. S. Air Force for many years. In addition to her parents, a brother, sister and her husband Earl Saunders had preceded her in death. Survivors include: her son, Wayne Saunders of Gray, a daughter and son-in-law, Jan and Michael Jones of Johnson City, four grandchildren, Amy, Amanda, Ali and Jessica; two great grandchildren, Miquelle and Cameron. Memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church, P. O. Box 1186, Selma, AL 37602. Mrs. Saunders is to be cremated and there are no public services scheduled.
