Dorothy M. Coogan

Dorothy M. Coogan, 97, 2734 E. Oakland Ave., died Wednesday, May 11, 2005 at NHC Healthcare Center, Johnson City, after an extended illness. Mrs. Coogan was a native of Sheridan, NY and was a daughter of the late Anson Henris and Emma Wilkes Henris. She was the widow of Harry E. Coogan and had been a resident of Johnson City since 1998. She was a retired nurse and postal clerk for her husband in Sheridan, NY and a member of the Sheridan Methodist Church. Survivors include two daughters, Barbara Luneke and her husband, James, Johnson City and Maureen Coogan Murphy, Avon Park, FL; two granddaughters, Deborah Kimball, Auburn, NY and Pamela Hayden, Tampa, FL; five grandsons, Theodore Welch, Hilton, NY, Brian Heath, Heathsville, VA, William Heath, Rockwood, TN, Brent Heath, Esmont, VA and Lindsay Heath, Richmond, VA and seven great grandchildren. A memorial service for Mrs. Coogan will be held on Saturday, May 14, 2005 at 2pm in the North Chapel of the Morris-Baker Funeral Home, under the direction of Pastor Don Pfaffee of the Grace Fellowship Church. Mrs. Coogan will be buried with her husband in Sheridan, NY at a later date.
