Dorothy Mae Burress

Dorothy Mae Artrip Burress, 85, of Johnson City, died Sunday, December 15, 2013 at Johnson City Medical Center. Dorothy was an Ohio native and a daughter of the late Walter Artrip and Garnet Ruth McCullick Artrip. She was of the Baptist faith. Ms. Burress worked as a cook for the public school system. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by: her husband, Homer Burress; brother, Bob Artrip; and two nephews. Dorothy is survived by: one son, Homer Jackson 'Jack'? Burress; two brothers, Bill Artrip and his wife, Anita, Dorothys special friend, and Harry Lee Artrip; one sister, Shirley Lang Lois; and several nieces and nephews.
