Mrs. Easter Virginia Miller, 81, Johnson City, passed away Thursday, July 21, 2016, at Cornerstone Village, Johnson City. Mrs. Miller was a native of Buchanan County, VA. She was a daughter of the late John and Rosie Keen. Mrs. Miller was a homemaker. She loved to make quilts and also enjoyed working with her flowers. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Fred Miller; son, Steve Michael Miller; one brother, James Keen; two sisters, Ruby Grear, and Francis Simerly; and great grandchild, Bentley Barnett. Survivors include: three sons, Fred Miller, Jr., Larry Miller, and Darrell Miller; one daughter, Helen Human; six grandchildren, Gregory Miller, Bradley Barnett, Eric Miller, Ryan Human, William Johnson, and Wesley Johnson; four great grandchildren, Christopher Miller, Albrey Miller, James Hays, and Aliyah Barnett; and several brothers, sisters, nieces, and nephews. The family of Mrs. Easter Virginia Miller will receive friends from 5 to 7 PM Sunday, July 24, 2016, in the Morris-Baker Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 7 pm with Richard Belton officiating. The graveside committal service will be conducted at 11 AM Monday, in the Snyder?s Memorial Gardens. Minister, family, and friends are requested to meet at Morris-Baker by 10:15 am Monday to go in procession to the cemetery. Active pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. The family wishes to extend a special thank you to the staff of Cornerstone Village for the compassion and care for the past several years.
