Edith Lucille Tucker Hester

Edith Lucille Tucker Hester, 87, Elkhorn City,Kentucky died June 21, 2005 in the Pikeville (KY) Medical Center. Mrs. Hester was a native of Mountain City, TN and a daughter of the late Ephraim and Elizabeth Hamby Tucker. Her church membership was at Jesus Is Lord of Elkhorn City. She was a housewife. Mrs. Hester is preceded in death by her husband, John Robert Hester; a son, Ray Hester; a daughter, Ruth Carrikee; one brother, Paul Tucker and one sister, Ethel Irene Brett. Survivors include : two sons, Conley Hester of Irvin, TN and Robert Tester of Greenville, MI; three daughters, Carolyn Scarberry of Castlewood, VA, Helen Taylor and Billie Elizabeth Thompson , both of Elkhorn City. Twenty two grandchildren, thirty-three great grandchildren, and four great great grandchildren also survive. The funeral service for Edith Lucille Tucker Hester will be conducted at 8 PM Thursday, June 23, 2005 in the Morris-Baker South Chapel. Mr. Dennis Scarberry will officiate. The graveside service will be conducted at 12 Noon Friday in the Monte Vista Memorial Park. Everyone will meet at the funeral home at 11:30 AM Friday to go in procession to the cemetery. Active pallbearers will be selected from Family and Friends. The family will receive friends in the funeral chapel from 6 to 8 PM Thursday prior to the service.
