Edith Pauline Elliott, 84, of Johnson City, passed away at home on Wednesday, August 9, 2023, surrounded by her family.
She was born in Sullivan County on June 21, 1939, to the late Everett A Ensor and Mary Alice Goodman Ensor.
Edith was a charter member of Oakland Avenue Baptist Church. She was also a member of TOPS 321, and had worked at Rainbo Bakery as a sales clerk.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother, Hansel Ensor, and sister, Anna Mae Estep.
Those left to cherish her memory include: her husband of 66 years, Clyde E. Elliott; son, Douglas Elliott and wife Lisa; granddaughter, April Salyer; great-granddaughter, Jessi Owens; sister-in-law, Juanita Ensor and brother-in-law, Earl Estep; as well as several nieces and nephews.
The family of Edith Elliott will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM on Saturday, August 12, 2023, at Oakland Avenue Baptist Church in Johnson City. Funeral will follow at 7:30 PM, officiated by pastors Roy Yelton and Charles Biggs. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM the following day, Sunday, August 13, 2023, at Washington County Memory Gardens. Pallbearers will be: Jack Brooks, Earl Estep, Cody Armstrong, Raymond Markland, Douglas Elliott, and Dylan Morrell. Those attending are asked to meet at the graveside by 1:50 PM.
