Obituary for Edward Otis Fagan
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Edward Otis Fagan, age 91, who left us peacefully on March 12, 2026. Born on June 20, 1934, in Johnson City, Tennessee, Edward was a dedicated member of his community and a cherished family man.
Edward proudly served in the United States Army from 1956 to 1958, during which he developed a lifelong appreciation for camaraderie and service. After his military service, he became a skilled cook in the food service industry, where he brought joy to many through his culinary talents.
A passionate fisherman, Edward was known for his love of bass tournaments, spending countless hours on the water surrounded by friends and family. He was also a devoted member of East Watauga Baptist Church, where he shared his gift of music by singing solo songs that touched the hearts of those around him.
Edward was preceded in death by parents Hartsell Fagan & Margaret Fagant; brother Michael Fagan, grandson Chad Fagan; and daughter-in-law Leslie Fagan
Edward is survived by his loving spouse, Frances Fagan; daughter, Sandra Fagan; granddaughter, Jessica Webb; great grandchildren Victor, Scarlett, and Jasmynn. He will be remembered for his unwavering spirit, kindness, and devotion to his family and faith.
Funeral services for Edward Otis Fagan will be held at Morris Baker Funeral Home on March 15, 2026, at 12:00 PM. Friends and family are invited to gather to celebrate his life and share fond memories. A visitation will precede the service, beginning at 11:00 PM. Interment will follow at the Mt. Home National Cemetery, where Edward will be laid to rest with full military honors.
