Elsie (Bonnie) Mae Ketron, age 95, of Kingsport, Tennessee, passed away peacefully on May 5, 2025. She was born on January 29, 1930, in Johnson City, Tennessee.
Bonnie was a talented artist whose work reflected her vibrant spirit. She was a gifted and passionate cook, known for bringing people together around her table with meals made from the heart. She was a member of Logans Chapel United Methodist Church where she taught Sunday school. Bonnie touched countless lives with her kindness, compassion, and creativity.
Bonnie was preceded in death by her parents, Oscar and Mabel Furches, her brother, Paul Furches, her sister, Dale Walker, her daughter-in-law, Carolyn Lane, and her beloved husband, Douglas Wayne Ketron, with whom she shared a deep and enduring love.
Bonnie was a devoted and loving mother to David Lane and wife, Wilma, Michael Lane and wife, Debbie, and Keith Hopson and wife, Valerie.
Bonnie's memory will be cherished by her granddaughter, Jessica Lane, her grandson, Quinton Lane, her sister, Joann Edwards, her sister, Barbara Williams, and her sister, Betty Huffine, along with several nieces, nephews, and other members of her extended family.
The family extends their deepest gratitude to the compassionate care staff at Steadman Hill for their dedicated service throughout the years.
The graveside service will take place on Saturday, May 17, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at Liberty Free Will Baptist Church located at 91 Guy Brown Road, Chuckey, Tennessee
