It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Eric William Wininger, who left us far too soon on August 13, 2026, at the age of 49. Born on March 2, 1977, in Johnson City, TN, Eric was a gentle soul known for his beautiful smile and his love of automobiles. As a dedicated mechanic, he poured his heart into his work, bringing life back to vehicles just like he did for everyone around him.

Eric was a loyal and devoted friend and family member, always willing to lend a hand or go the extra mile for those he cared about. his beloved dog Buddy was a constant companion, and their bond was a testament to his loving and caring nature.

Eric was preceded in death by father Eldon Wininger, aunt Valda Reed, and grandparents Robert & June Wininger.

Eric is survived by his mother Cathy & (Dennis) O'Neill, brother John & (Christie) Wininger, and his two sisters Angela & (Ray) Chismar, Kimberly Barker, nieces and nephews Hayden, Brenna, and Grayson. Those who knew him will cherish their memories of the kindness and warmth he brought into their lives.

A celebration of life for Eric will be announced at a later date.

Rest in peace, Eric. You will be missed but never forgotten.
