Eula Stella Carver

Eula Stella Jones Carver, 74, of Piney Flats, died Sunday, January 12, 2014 at her residence. She was a native of Avery County, NC, daughter of the late Donald Bryan and Ina Beulah Oaks Jones. Eula was a Baptist and homemaker. In addition to her parents, four brothers, two sisters and a son, J. D. Calhoun, preceded her in death. Survivors include: her husband, Bennie Carver of the home; a son and daughter-in-law, Randy and Gina Carver; a daughter, Wanda Markland; two sisters, Clara Shook and Estel Honeycutt; a brother, Wade Jones; grandchildren, Justin Davis, Danny Markland, Zachary Markland, Anthony Carver, Christy Baird, Sherry McKinney and Johnathan Calhoun; step grandchildren, Joseph, Johnnie, Jesse and Matthew Johnson and Erica Kennedy; special friends, Alice Duncan and Tim Campbell; a special sister-in-law, Barbara Carver, several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, January 15, 2014 from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm in the South Chapel of the Morris '? Baker Funeral Home. A funeral service is scheduled for 7:00 pm under the direction of Rev. Donnie Humphrey and Rev. Alex Carver. A committal service will be conducted on Thursday, January 16, 2014 at the Monte Vista Memorial Park. Active pallbearers will be: Ronnie, David, Michael and Anthony Carver, Danny and Zachary Markland. Honorary pallbearers will be: Larry and Dennis Mullins, Gary Walker, Tim Campbell, Joe Johnson and Justin Carver.
