Evelyn Sharon Wrinn, 79, of Johnson City, Tennessee, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 15, 2025, at Agape Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
She was a native and lifelong resident of Johnson City, born on September 19, 1945, to the late Warren Moody and Ranah Church Moody. Evelyn was a graduate of Science Hill High School and dedicated her professional life to helping others in banking and as a Financial Aid Administrator at East Tennessee State University. She was known for her kindness, dedication to her work, and love for her community.
Sharon was a member of East Unaka Christian Church and an active lifelong member of Locust Street Church of Christ until its closure.
Sharon is survived by husband, Al Wrinn, Jr. and step-daughter, Robin of Alma, Georgia and her three children; one brother, Jerry (Carol) Moody of Ringold, Georgia and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Bill (Betty) Caraway, Warren Eugene (Sandra) Moody, and Vearl “Gill” (Linda) Moody.
Sharon’s family will receive friends at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 19, 2025, at Morris-Baker Funeral Home. A funeral will immediately follow at 11:00 a.m., under the direction of Dr. Wayne Emery. The family will hold a private graveside service at Monte Vista Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are directed to St. Jude Children’s Hospital or Shriner’s Hospitals.
